Chiefs plan return trip to Joplin

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Members of the Kansas City Chiefs are planning a return trip to Joplin to help with tornado relief efforts.

According to a post on KCChiefs.com , head coach Romeo Crennel will be joined by quarterback Matt Cassel, wide receiver/running back Dexter McCluster and the entire Chiefs 2012 rookie class when they head to Joplin when Organized Team Activities (OTAs) finish in June.

Cassel and McCluster were among a group of Chiefs volunteers who went to Joplin soon after last year's tornado.

The Chiefs have also helped in tornado relief efforts by hosting a Joplin vs Raymore-Peculiar football game in October at Arrowhead Stadium.

In the days immediately following the May 22, 2011 twister, the Chiefs hosted a supply drive where they collected two trucks worth of items that were sent to Joplin.
