OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - If you thought the Chiefs' undefeated 8-0 status was impressive, a perfect season will make ticket prices look pretty impressive too.
It's costly for a fan to watch a winning team play, especially when the winning Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead.
Ticket brokers said eight Chiefs wins have gradually increased prices, but the game against Denver and quarterback Peyton Manning has pushed prices through the roof.
On Stubhub.com, people are now asking $2,300 for a set of two tickets for the matchup at home.
That same game in Denver and the price for a pair is more than double, at $4,400.
Why are tickets so high? Someone is willing to pay it.
Adam Abrams, who drove to Arrowhead this past weekend from Louisville, Ky., said the drive and the $180 he paid for the ticket was worth it.
Those same tickets just 24 hours later, for the home Chiefs vs. Broncos showdown, are now nearly $600 each.
But that won't stop Abrams; he said will be driving back.
"It's Denver, it's Peyton Manning. It doesn't get much better than that. I would pay $600 for the game of the year," he said.
