Kansas City Chiefs establish trust fund for daughter of Jovan Belcher and Kasandra Perkins

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Chiefs have started a fund for the daughter of linebacker Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins.

Three-month-old Zoey lost her parents Saturday when Belcher fatally shot 22-year-old Perkins in their home before taking his own life outside the team's practice facility in front of coaches and staff.

The trust was established though contributions from players, coaches, staff and the Hunt family, according to a news release from the Chiefs.

"As we continue to struggle with the emotional pain from the tragedy, the Chiefs family is focused on helping 3-month-old Zoey Michelle Belcher as she faces the challenge of growing up without the support of her parents," Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt said in the news release.

Anyone interested in making donations can do so by sending a check to the following address:

Zoey Belcher Trust
UMB Bank - Attn: Trust Division
P.O. Box 419226
Kansas City, MO 64179

Checks should be made payable to:
