While the Kansas City Chiefs are heading on the road to begin the postseason, that isn't stopping Chiefs fans from dreaming of another championship for the city.

Chiefs fans we spoke to on Sunday following the team's big win against the Oakland Raiders are confident of the Chiefs' chances against Houston next weekend.

“I mean, we beat Houston in Houston week one, so there’s definitely an advantage to play there," said Liam Hodes, from Kansas City. "We already played them and we have a lot of tape on them.”

The Chiefs began the season on a high note in Houston, winning 27-20 in a game they controlled most of the way.

Louie Thompson said Houston's situation at the quarterback position could play in the hands of the Chiefs.

"Houston doesn't scare me," he said. "They're not very good at the quarterback position."

Chiefs fans, Raiders fans gather before game

Before the Chiefs' win, fans were hopeful of a potential division title. Raiders fans were hoping to spoil the Chiefs chances at that division title.

Neither happened, as both the Broncos and Chiefs prevailed.

Now, Chiefs fans are hoping the city's football team accomplishes what the baseball team did.

Trey Mareth said the Royals' and Chiefs' success has meant a lot to him as a Kansas City resident.

“This past year has been the best year of my life because, you know watching the Royals, I have been a huge Royals fan all my life and then finally they get good. It’s just awesome.”

Raiders fan Sam Salas was hoping his team would snap the Chiefs' winning streak.

“Anyway we can give it to the Chiefs, even if it’s spoiling a, raider nation, a home game or whatever or a buy thats what we want to do, that’s what we are here for.”

Unfortunately for Raiders fans, that didn't happen.

The Chiefs extended their winning streak to 10 games to finish the regular season 11-5.
