Scanlon Hall, on the Missouri Western State University campus, is once again full of Chiefs players ready for another long and hot training camp.

The Chiefs rookies and quarterback's reported on Monday afternoon and will start practice Tuesday morning. The veterans will report on Thursday and participate in the team's first full team practice on Friday.

Head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder also stopped by the conference to give updates on players sitting on the team's injured list.

Head Coach Andy Reid told members of the media that he was happy to be back to the campus for this year's camp. However, he was quickly inundated with tough questions surrounding the team. Earlier in the day, the Chiefs unveiled Brett Veach as the new General Manager. The were a lot of unanswered questions about how former GM John Dorsey was fired and if Reid had any influence on the firing of Dorsey or the hiring of Veach.

When asked if he campaigned for Veach, Reid was succinct with his answer.

"No. That's not how Clark operates. That's not how he rolls," Reid said. "That's probably the best way to put it."

He also was asked about Linebacker Tamba Hali in the wake of tweets that were posted voicing his displeasure for his lack of playing time in the Chiefs' AFC Divisional Playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Hali also had some concerns about how he fits into the team going forward.

"The one thing you love about Tamba is he loves to play. I mean that's the one thing," Reid said. "I can't tell you he's getting any younger. I can't tell you that. I do love the fact that he bugs on you. He wants to play. As coaches, we have to make that decision. And so, when we make that decision that if he plays seven plays or 27 plays, or 47 plays, that's what we do."

None of the players were made available to speak with the media on Monday. Tamba Hali and other veterans will report to training camp on Thursday. It's unclear whether the team will make him available to speak to the media about his concerns of playing time.
