Tyler Bray remains third team quarterback, for now

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Tyler Bray had a promising game against the Green Bay Packers, but he will remain the third team quarterback, for now.

Bray completed 14 of his 25 passes for 169 yards and three touchdowns during the last preseason game of the season.

His competition, quarterback Chase Daniel, threw an interception on the first play of the game. Daniel completed half of his passes (4/8) for just 27 yards.

Many fans suggested Bray should jump Daniel and take over the No. 2 spot on the team.

However, head coach Andy Reid addressed the media during a teleconference Friday afternoon. He shut that idea down, for the time being.

"That's not where we're at right now. But we'll see. We'll see how that all works out for him", Reid said. "We got a couple good players, but I don't want to take away from his performance last night."

The Chiefs begin their first regular season game against Jacksonville Sunday, Sept. 8.
