WICHITA, Kan. - Former Kansas State University quarterback Collin Klein discussed his NFL future at a football camp he hosted Monday in Wichita, Kan.
Klein was not drafted in the 2013 NFL Draft, but was invited to a rookie mini-camp with the Houston Texans.
"I'm waiting, I should get a call this week from Houston if I'm going to go to training camp. We'll see what happens," Klein said, "It's been a waiting game. I'll take advantage when I get my chance, They really felt like I impressed them with my ability to pass and my footwork. It's just waiting for the right time."
Klein is hosting camps all over the state of Kansas. He held two sessions on Monday, one for younger kids and another for high schoolers.
"Being able to say thank you for what they've done for myself and for our team the past couple years. I'm just trying to give them a physical tool to go back to their teams with and also something about leadership and hard work," Klein said.
