KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A band of students and a local business worked together to save The Together Center with an eco-friendly car wash using Shamerrific products.
The Together Center is a local non-profit organization that helps teens and families through youth development and emergency assistance. Local company Shamerrific Automotive Products donated labor and the use of their eco-friendly Shamerrific shammy for the charity car wash. The volunteers used the shammies, without any soap or detergents, to wash vehicles as students from F.L. Schlagle High School's marching band entertained the customers.
Christina Renee Scott founded the company and helped organize the charity car wash.
"It's important to give back to the community and also bring awareness to consumers about being able to just use water, being eco-friendly and being environmentally friendly, and not having to use soaps and chemicals when you're cleaning vehicles," Scott said.
All of the money raised went to The Together Center. For more information on the Together center or Shamerrific shammies, visit http://www.shamerrific.com/ .
