KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two more highway ramps in Johnson County, Kan., closed for several months Monday as part of a major construction project.
Ramps to southbound U.S. 69 Highway from westbound Interstate 435 and 103rd Street closed at 9 a.m. through October 2013.
The Kansas Department of Transportation advises drivers to expect delays around both ramp closures and consider alternate routes.
The WB I-435 to SB U.S. 69 ramp is closed for construction work on the tie-in pavement to the new SB U.S. 69 to College Boulevard exit ramp.
The 103rd Street to SB U.S. 69 ramp is closed so crews can construct the connection to the new bridge over I-435 that will accommodate the SB U.S. 69 from 103rd Street traffic movement.
The ramps that closed Monday are in addition to the ramp from eastbound I-435 to northbound U.S. 69, which closed through October last week.
