KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two people were injured in a wreck involving a school bus this morning.
The bus flipped on its side when the driver lost control, according to police. The bus spun out and hit a guardrail just before 8 a.m. at Raytown Road and Blue Ridge Cutoff. The wet roadways this morning may have caused the driver to lose control, they said.
The bus driver and a student aide remain in the hospital being treated for minor injuries, while the two children inside the bus were uninjured, police said. The children crawled out of the bus' back escape.
The Grandview School District said the bus had picked the students up from their homes and was headed to the Nova Center School, a school for students with special needs.
