A familiar statue is making its way back to downtown Kansas City.

The Bartle Hall Sky Station that was damaged by lightning earlier this year has been fixed and will be reinstalled Sunday morning. It was removed on May 8th to be repaired and restored.

The process to reinstall the statue means closures in downtown KC:

  • Interstate 35 northbound off-ramp to Broadway Blvd.
  • Interstate 670 westbound
  • Interstate 670 eastbound off-ramp to Central St.
  • Truman Rd. from Baltimore Ave. to Broadway Blvd.
  • Broadway Blvd. from Truman Rd. to 17th St.
  • Central St. from 14th St. to 16th St.
  • 16th St. from Broadway Blvd. to Wyandotte St.
  • 4th St. from Broadway Blvd. to Central St.

The closures will start Sunday morning at 4 a.m. and will go until the project is finished, likely around 10 a.m. These closures will impact your downtown commute so makes sure to find alternates around the area during that time.
