KANSAS CITY, Mo. -  

UPDATE 5:57 p.m. -

All severe thunderstorm warnings for the viewing area have expired. A flood warning remains in effect for most of the metro until 10:30 p.m.

UPDATE 5:32 p.m. -

Severe thunderstorm warning canceled in Carroll, Johnson and Lafayette counties in Missouri.

UPDATE 4:38 p.m. -

Severe Thunderstorm warning issued for Henry, Johnson and Pettis counties in Missouri until 5:15 p.m. Wind gusts around 60 mph and heavy rain have been reported.

UPDATE 3:54 p.m. -

Severe thunderstorm warnings have been extended in Clay, Jackson and Ray counties in Missouri until 4:30 p.m. 60 mph winds have been reported.

UPDATE 3:39 p.m. -

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Cass, Carroll, Jackson and Johnson counties in Missouri until 4:15 p.m. and Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas until 4:15 p.m.

UPDATE 3:20 p.m. -

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Jackson County until 3:45 p.m.
