Meet the 41 Action News snowflake contest winner!

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The metro saw more than one inch of snow this week, which means there is a 41 Action News snowflake contest winner!

Congratulations to Laura K., of Raytown, Mo., who picked the date and time that the first inch of snow would fall at our station on Oak Street.

Gary Lezak surprised Laura Friday afternoon at her home. She picked 5:12 a.m. Thursday, which means she wins some beautiful jewelry from Eskew's fine jewelers!

More than 6,000 viewers entered this year, and 78 people correctly chose Dec. 20. But, this is the first time that a viewer has guessed the exact time that Kansas City would hit an inch of snow.

Laura was quite surprised, as she knew that she had picked close to that time, but wasn't sure of the moment she chose. Congratulations Laura!
