KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Major roads have been mostly cleared in and around Kansas City, but conditions are right for some problems on side streets and patchy ice on the highways.
Light snow was expected to fall off and on throughout the day, but little to no additional accumulation was expected.
Jenna Hanchard was in the Northland Monday morning. She reported icy spots on the on and off ramps to some highways.
The temperatures are cold enough Monday that any snow that might have melted on area roadways could turn into dangerously-icy spots.
Few streets remain completely untouched, but many side streets across the area remain snow or slush covered.
The departments of transportation in Kansas and Missouri were both reporting no major issues Monday morning.
