Sprint to cut 800 jobs, no jobs to be cut in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Sprint confirmed Tuesday its plans to cut a large number of jobs.

According to company Spokeswoman Melinda Tiemeyer, the reduction impacts 800 positions across the country out of 15,000 customer service jobs worldwide.

Sprint says none of the reductions will be in Kansas City.

Sprint employs a total of 40,000 people worldwide.
