Dex One to open new location in Overland Park, will bring with it 250 open positions

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas - Dex One Corporation (NYSE: DEXO) is about to open a new location near 135th and Antioch in Overland Park and they need need to fill 250 open positions.

They need inside sales representatives, customer service professionals, and several supporting workers. The salaries range from $30,000 to $70,000 depending on the role. Those figures include base plus commissions.

The centralized client contact center will support the delivery of digital marketing solutions to local businesses.

The center will house approximately 400 Dex One employees in sales and support functions and the company expects this facility will triple the number of annual customer contacts.

They have approximately 250 positions open, out of the approximate total of 400 positions that will be at the new client contact center.

"As our clients' marketing needs evolve, increasing the number of opportunities to connect with clients is a key part of our go-forward sales strategy," said Alfred Mockett, Dex One chief executive officer. "The new contact center supports the creation of virtual selling teams, allowing marketing consultants at the local level to be supported by digital platform experts from Overland Park. We will now have the ability to sell digital solutions throughout the year across our markets more quickly and efficiently."

The company has started to hire for the new facility and expects to be fully operational in the second quarter of 2011.

Strong support from the State of Kansas, the City of Overland Park, and regional economic development leaders helped convince Dex One to open the center in the area.

"One of my top priorities is to create jobs that provide a meaningful increase in income and opportunity for Kansas families," said Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback. "The announcement that Dex One is bringing several hundred highly skilled, high-paying jobs to Overland Park is exactly what we need to grow the Kansas economy."

Dex One currently has approximately 150 employees in a variety of positions at another facility in the Overland Park area and will maintain that facility. The expansion of Dex One's presence in Overland Park will enable the company to provide outstanding service to clients and provide an infusion of jobs into the Overland Park area, as well as help increase local job opportunities, spending and community income, and deliver more opportunities for local companies to thrive
