Former Cub Scout leader accused of sex crimes with children

Authorities looking for more victims

PLATTE CITY, Missouri - A former Cub Scout leader faces child sex charges and authorities want to know if there are more victims.

Daryl D. Lemasters, 52, of Platte City, was charged in Platte County Court with sexually abusing two girls, according to the Platte County Prosecutor's Office.

The girls were 11 and 9-years-old when the crimes allegedly occurred.

The investigation began Sunday when the Platte County Sheriff's Department got a tip Lemasters touched the two girls inappropriately, according to a news release.

The girls told child advocates Lemasters abused them and took pornographic pictures of them.

Investigators served a search warrant at Lemasters' house and business, according to the release.

Lemasters served with Cub Scout Troop 1028 from about 2000 to 2010 and could have served in other groups where he had access to children, the release stated.

Anyone with information about Lemasters or other possible victims should call the Platte County Sheriff's Department at 858-1803.

A judge set Lemasters' cash-only bond at $100,000.
