Police charged a 32-year-old Roy Maney with vehicular homicide after police say he was going nearly 100 mph and caused a multiple car wreck at 75th and Roe.
PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. - The suspect in Friday's fatal Prairie Village crash has been identified as Shawnee man Roy Lee Maney.
The 32-year-old was booked in the Johnson County Jail Friday evening on vehicular homicide charges.
Records show Maney owns a lawn care business.
Maney was reportedly speeding in his Mercedes when a police officer tried to make a traffic stop. When Maney didn't pull over, the cop backed off.
Maney then hit another car at the intersection of 75th and Roe and attempted to flee the scene. Police later arrested him a few blocks away at 78th and Roe.
The female victim was just 19 blocks from her home when the accident happened.
