Teen in custody following shooting that injured two in Kansas City, Mo.

KANSAS CITY, Mo - A teen is in police custody following a shooting in Kansas City Saturday night that injured two people.

Just before midnight, police say a 17-year-old male approached a truck with five people inside in an attempted robbery. He revealed a gun and told the driver to get out.

After a brief altercation, the teen fired shots and injured two passengers.

He was tackled by the passengers, who restrained him until police arrived.

The shooter suffered a broken ankle. Charges are expected Sunday.

Police said the victims injuries were non-life threatening.
