Victim in KCK shooting near 2600 Orville Avenue has died

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City, Kan., police say the victim of a Friday night shooting has died.

Police were called around 9 p.m. on reports of gunfire from vehicles near the 2500 block of Minnesota Ave.

They found one of the vehicles in the 2600 block of Orville Ave. The victim was inside the car suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

Police say the victim is a 19-year-old male, but are not releasing his identity at this point.
