Megan worked as a server at the restaurant. Her parents said the 46-year-old died doing what she loved.

Her mother, Genny Cramer, said Megan would've been proud of how the Kansas City community came together after the Feb. 19 explosion. Her father, Carter Cramer, had some words of advice for other parents.

"If there is a child out there that is important to you, look in their eyes and tell them, tell them, tell them you love them," he said. "The important thing is she loved and she was, and she was loved."

According to Missouri Gas Energy and the Kansas City Fire Department, the explosion occurred after Heartland Midwest, a contractor working in the area, struck a gas line and caused the leak. The incident is still under investigation.
