KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Dog food company, J.M. Smucker, recalls popular brands over concerns over euthanasia drug.

The dog food brands include Gravy Train, Kibbles N' Bits, Skippy and Ol' Roy. The wet canned dog foods are being recalled due to the presence of pentobarbital, a drug used for euthanizing animals.

According to a statement on the company's website, low levels of pentobarbital were found in the recalled dog food. The company says the levels do not pose a threat to pet safety.

Whitney Richardson owns three dogs. She's particular about the food she buys and is concerned about the recall.

"It's definitely something to take a look at and stay up-to-date on. Hopefully, it's not a regular occurrence, our pets health is incredibly important," said Richardson.
