Hikers facing possible charges after toppling ancient rock formation

GOBLIN VALLEY, Utah - A group of hikers could be facing criminal charges after a video surfaced of them toppling a 200 million year-old ancient rock formation in Utah's Goblin Valley State Park.

The video shows at least two men cheering as a third pushed the rock formation until it falls to the ground.

In the video, one man suggests it was in everyone's best interest because it was dangerous and could have fallen on someone.

"It's all about saving lives here in Goblin Valley," he said.

According to Business Insider, state park officials said they were "very concerned and upset," by what the video showed.
