Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg told her followers on Facebook that she was originally scheduled to be on the Asiana Airlines flight that crashed Saturday.
Sandberg had been in South Korea for a Lean In event tied to her book.
On Saturday, Sandberg posted that her family and some colleagues were originally going to take the flight, but switched to United to use miles for family tickets. The United flight was scheduled to arrive at the same time as the Asiana flight, but got to San Francisco International Airport early.
Sandberg made several posts about the flight, referencing Samsung VP David Eun. Eun was on the flight that crashed, but came out uninjured.
The post had more than 3,500 likes in two hours. Sandberg was named to the Time 100 list of influential Americans last year.
