Dump truck strikes bridge, causes backup on EB I-70

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A dump truck struck a bridge along Interstate 70 in Kansas City, Kan., around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The eastbound lanes of the highway were blocked overnight. All lanes reopened around 6 a.m.

The overpass between Riverview and Tauromee will remain closed through the weekend.

At least one person was injured in the crash, but emergency responders described the injuries as non life-threatening.
