Chiefs name John Dorsey new General Manager

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Chiefs have named their new General Manager, John Dorsey, formerly of the Green Bay Packers.

The team broke the news on Twitter late Saturday evening. The team's "Chiefs Insider" Reid Ferrin released the news, later tweeting that owner Clark Hunt is "committed to winning and the moves made, as well as those still to come will prove it."

The team announced on its official Twitter feed that a news conference formally announcing Dorsey would be held Monday afternoon.

This move comes one day after new head coach Andy Reid announced over seven new coaching hires , including new coordinators and position coaches.

Dorsey played in the NFL for five years, and has been in varying management roles for over 20 years in the league. He was part of the Packers' staff along with new Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid from 1992-1997.
