NFL prepares for possible winter weather at Super Bowl

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Winter weather is possible Sunday as the NFL prepares for its first Super Bowl outdoors in a cold-weather city.

Both the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos are preparing for the weather.

Last week, officials at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey got a possible preview as snow fell on the field.

"Our game is to experience the elements,"  NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said.

As of Tuesday, the forecast shows temperatures improving during the week, with sunny conditions on Sunday.

Fans who flew in early are dealing with cold temperatures.

"It's freezing," David Wallis of Perth, Australia said.

"We've got layers and layers and layers on," Rachel Mongey of Perth, Australia said.

People who go to the game will have welcome kits on their seats. The kits include hand warmers, ear muffs, and a hand muffler.
