Park Hill's Alison Walls takes home Hy-Vee Athlete of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — According to Park Hill head soccer coach Brandt Bell, he will soon say good-bye to a coach's dream.

"She is the first person to practice the last person to leave she's always the hardest worker," said Bell.

It's virtually impossible to find anything to bad to say about Park Hill senior Alison Walls. Who's described as a model for her peers both on the field and off.

Walls has a pretty extensive resume. A two-time all-state selection, was co-offensive player of the year as a sophomore. She's tallied 79 career goals, 18 this year alone. Walls led the team to the state quarterfinals over the past three seasons. Walls is a natural born leader that has her priorities in order.

"I really enjoy it. said Walls. "I love being the leader on this team because I'm so passionate about it. So passionate about this program and being state champions hopefully."

Walls is off to Drake University in the fall, where she is hoping to make an immediate impact. She remembers the day that the "hot-line bling," changed her life.

"We were playing in Phoenix, and I got a text. I looked at my dad and said, 'Dad' she just said let's make you a future Bulldog!' I was so excited," said Walls. "For a long time I thought I wanted a big school but then when I saw Drake I was like, 'this is it.'"
