Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in D.R. and Kansas City, MO.

Dominican.

What is your occupation?
Founder of the Head and the Heart Wellness, working with clients to improve their general outlook on life, including self-esteem, optimism, and willfulness in their everyday life, by using meditation, yoga, reiki and other well recognized psychology principles and Finance Account Representative at Shamrock Trading Co.

How have you supported or contributed to the local Hispanic/Latinx community?
Being the President of the Young Latinos Professionals YLPKC, the young professional group under the Hispanic collaborative/ Hispanic Chamber or commerce, has allowed me a unique opportunity to serve, connect, and mentor young LatinX professionals. The goal of YLPKC is to provide opportunities for young leaders to engage with like-minded peers through social and professional networking, philanthropic outreach and professional development.

How do you connect with your Hispanic/Latinx culture?
It's in everything I do. I don't feel that I disconnect from my latin identity, "to connect" I'm always plugged in.

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Beach days with my huge family, having a million cousins to play with.

What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you?
It's an important time to celebrate, all Latinidad for all who live in the US and share both identities.

In your opinion, what is the most important issue facing the Hispanic/Latinx community?
The lack of awareness, resources, and accountability with the topic of mental health in our community.
