KANSAS CITY, MO. — Michael Arceneaux will read excerpts from, “I Can’t Date Jesus” at the Rainy Day Books Author Series event Thursday, August 22. Arceneaux unapologetically addresses race, sexuality, and religion, through the lens of marginalization. His thoughts on life as a black gay man, and how his Catholic upbringing and Howard University education have helped him, give voice to an often-silenced community.
