Star Wars fans didn’t need their own lightsaber to try and create a world record this weekend. They just needed to show up at Berkley Riverfront Park for the Battle 4 KC and get one for attending. Friends of the River KC organized the event to create a world record for the biggest lightsaber battle while raising money and awareness for Children Mercy’s Cystic Fibrosis Clinic .
Unfortunately, they did not get enough participants to beat the world record, but 2,840 people participated and $35,106.96 was raised.
