This year marks the 18th Annual Kansas International Film Festival, with the theme being “Tell Your Truth." The festival is a platform for artists to share their stories and their truth, with over 150 films and 30 countries being represented. That includes “Uncommon Allies,” a movie that was filmed in Kansas City about resident Rosilyn Temple. The film’s producer and director, Jon Brick, along with Film Festival President Brian Mossman, join us to discuss the festival and how local community is their largest focus in many different ways. This year they have a community partner, MOCSA (Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault) that they are helping raise money for.
