KANSAS CITY, MO — It’s the season for summer get-togethers, and this week we are celebrating our independence at 4th of July parties. Kyla Koch, Owner of Kyla’s Cakes N’ Bakes Amazing Cheesecakes joins us with some festive, red white and blue cheesecakes that are perfect to serve at your celebration.

2 cups of crushed cookies or graham crumbs
2 tbsp butter melted
1/4 cup sugar
Mix well and press into a springform pan to form a crust for the cheesecake

five 8oz packages of cream cheese
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
2 cups granulated sugar
1 tbsp vanilla
7 eggs
candy, chocolate, or fruit you wish to add in

With a mixer, beat together sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add in vanilla, cream, and then eggs. Blend well. Scrape the bowl and blend until smooth. At this time you may add any flavoring ingredients desired. Candy, fruit, or cocoa powder are some ideas.
Pour batter into pre made crusts or crust. Bake in a preheated 250 degree oven. Bake a full sized cheesecake for 2 1/2-3 hours until set in the middle. Take out and cool at room temperature.
You can refrigerate or freeze from there. Wait until the cheesecake is cooled to remove from the pan.
