When the weather gets chilly outside, it's time to make some chili inside! Matt Cross from Michael Forbes Bar & Grille shares a very special chili recipe because it came from his grandmother.
Michael Forbes Bar & Grille “Dona’s Chili”
Recipe:
- 3 lbs. ground chuck
- 3 cloves garlic
- 4 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can beef consommé
- 2 tbs. seasoning salt
- 3 cans tomatoes
- 4 tbs. cumin
- 5 onions, chopped
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 lg. can tomato sauce
- 2 tbs. sugar
- 1/4 c. red wine vinegar
- 3/4 c. chili powder
- 3 cans kidney beans
1. Brown the ground chuck with onions and garlic. Drain.
2. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 3 hours.
