It's an event that any foodie should not miss! By attending the Tasty Expo you have the opportunity to register to win dinner for a year at 52 different restaurants around the Kansas City area. One of the great restaurants that will be there is Granfalloon, and Juan Ceron and Tim Caniglia gave us a taste of their Pesto Chicken Cavatappi.
Pesto Chicken Cavatappi
- 1 tbl small diced shallots
- 1 tbl minced garlic
- 1 oz. sundried tomatoes
- 3 tbls cilantro/basil pesto
- 1 ¼ cups heavy cream
- Pinch of salt and white pepper
- 2 tbls shredded parmesan cheese
- 7 oz. Cavatappi noodles
Heat skillet and add shallots and garlic followed by the sundried tomatoes. Then add cilantro/basil pesto. Cook for a minute and then add heavy cream, parmesan cheese. Heat for four minutes and then add noodles.
