KCK police catch 2 potential robbers after receiving tip from resident

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Kansas City, Kansas, police may have stopped two potential robbers after getting a tip from a citizen about an odd car in their neighborhood.

KCKPD Chief Terry Zeigler tweeted early Thursday morning that three officers responded Wednesday to a suspicious occupied vehicle call near 33rd Street and Minnesota Avenue.

The chief’s tweet said the officers arrested two people who had multiple warrants and found several items in the car, including two masks, marijuana and two sets of brass knuckles.

Zeigler said the officers may have stopped a robbery.

The incident happened on Wednesday.
