KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Fire Department battled an early morning fire Wednesday at Todd’s Auto Repair on the corner of Northeast Vivion and Antioch.

Firefighters got the call around 3:10 a.m. and were able to put out the fire fairly quickly.

A firefighter was sent to a nearby hospital with minor injuries after slipping off a ladder.

Many of the tires stored inside the shop were smoking, but fire officials say the building is not damaged.

Crews boarded up certain parts of the building, with investigators planning to look into the cause of the fire.
