KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Fire Department has given the all clear after crews were called to a downtown office building on a hazardous materials call.
Just before 9:30 a.m., crews were sent to 330 W. 9th St. on the call.
Deputy Fire Chief James Dean said two employees found an envelope, opened it, and thought they might have been exposed to something. The employees said they felt shortness of breath.
KCFD said nothing hazardous was found. They couldn’t say if anything was in the envelope or where the envelope was found.
The two employees who reported symptoms were sent to the hospital for evaluation.
