With the temperature soaring throughout the Midwest, swimming pools are the most popular spots in many neighborhoods. However, parents sometimes forget that pool lifeguards don't know the level of experience each child in the pool may have, and they can't be watching every child every second.
To learn more about pool safety and what parents can do, we checked in with the folks at Safe Kids Metro Kansas City. Some of those tips include:
- Take a break every hour when swimming.
- Make sure you and your child know pool safety.
- Make life jackets a must.
- Clean ears out after swimming to avoid an ear infection.
