Right now Congress is still trying to reach an agreement to provide funding to battle the Zika virus.
Dr. Sharon Lee of Family Health Care in Kansas City, Kansas, is on the board for Doctors for America and says, "Funding is urgent right now to provide research of the current Zika virus."
Below are some steps we can take to prevent the spread of mosquitos.
- Remove standing water.
- Flip over outdoor toys that can collect water.
- Wear long-sleeved shirts.
- Reapply insect repellent as directed.
