KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Shawnee Mission Board of Education said it will announce finalists for the vacant superintendent position this week.
The candidates will be announced Friday, Feb. 9. Their biographies, resumes and photographs will also be released.
The board has also set up a series of meet-and-greets so community members can ask the candidates questions.
There are a series of half-hour sessions with individual candidates scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb 10 at Shawnee Mission School District headquarters. Specific session times will be provided on Friday.
No board members will be present at the sessions but community members are asked to leave comments about the candidates for the board.
