Chiefs tap Tamba Hali to bang drum to start Sunday’s game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Longtime Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali will bang the ceremonial drum to kick off Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans.

In order to help get fans geared up for the game, actor and comedian Eric Stonestreet will be the Tony DePardo spirit leader.

Other game notes:

  • Gates to the parking lot open at 9 a.m.
  • Gates to the stadium open at noon.
  • Weather permitting, four F/A-18 Hornets will provide a flyover of Arrowhead Stadium. Jordan Smith from NBC’s the Voice will sing the national anthem.

The first 50,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative 60th season Chiefs Kingdom flag.

The Chiefs will take on the Texans on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 2:05 p.m.
