MIAMI — When the Kansas City Chiefs (hopefully) win Super Bowl LIV in Miami, the confetti falling on the field will look different this year.

Twitter has been working with the National Football League and came up with a new idea for Super Bowl LIV.

Twitter is looking for the best tweets from fans and players to be printed on pieces of the confetti.

A spokesperson for Twitter told 41 Action News that if the Chiefs win, a 2013 Tweet from Patrick Mahomes will be printed to fall down on him and his teammates.

“He actually had an awesome tweet from 2013 where he said, wouldn’t it be cool to be the QB that says, 'I’m going to Disney World after winning the Super Bowl.' So think about that tweet being printed on confetti coming down and as he’s celebrating with his teammates and fans, having that come down, we just thought it was a really cool concept," Christine Wixted said.

Crews have been printing on confetti for the past week and will continue printing, even on game day in real time.

While fans watch the game, they can tweet using the hashtag #NFLTwitter in hopes their tweet will make it to the confetti.

“We just saw a ton of tweets, a ton of great hot takes and how can we reward those fans to kind of really amplify those voices and so one thing led to another and we’re printing tweets on confetti," Wixted said.
