GRANDVIEW, Mo.-- Most high school basketball players have a common goal: Win a state championship.
The Grandview Bulldogs’ boys basketball team can check the box on that goal.
The glow of the championship is still bright, as accolades continue to pour in.
The team was recognized Friday afternoon by MaxPreps Tour of Champions, with a national ranking coming in at no. 42.
"I look at the state stuff and it's an outstanding accomplishment,” said Head Coach Reggie Morris. “Many of these kids started with me when I began as a head coach. This team has shown great growth not only in the state of Missouri, but nationally."
The Bulldogs finished the season 28-3, beating Raytown South 81-63 to win the Class 4 state title for the first time in school history.
