KANSAS CITY, Mo-The playoffs continue here in the metro. Let's go to the Kansas side of the line, in the class 5a playoffs.
Mill Valley taking on Saint Thomas Aquinas. Tate Raboin looks and finds Jack Gabel. Gabel easily runs into the endzone to score for the Saints.
Here are the Saints again. Rabion sells the hand off, Theo Grabill in the endzone. Another touchdown for Aquinas. The Saints keep pushing. Tyron Young runs it up the middle. Aquinas goes on to win the ball game 30 to 7.
De Soto hosting Olathe West in the Kansas class 5a sectionals. De Soto's defense making plays. It's Mason Parrish on the sack.
They also made plays on offense. Garrett Kellner scores from four yards out. Olathe West retaliates. Quarterback Zac Krause finds Brendon Bolden on a 33-yard catch.
That leads to a seven-yard Gavan McDaniel touchdown for West.
West goes on to win 24-7. Smithville and Platte County. Both teams 10-1.
Warriors up 3-0 in the 2nd. Kellen Simoncic goes airborne vertical game opens up hits Garrett Thompson in stride to make it 10-0.
Platte County answers with a couple of touchdowns. Spencer Stewart the quick strike for the score and again to D.J. Gilbert. Then Brian Boyd with his second td of the game.
Smithville wins the district 33-28, and will take on Warrensburg.
