KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Just days after announcing star big man Udoka Azubuike would be out for the year, on Tuesday KU head coach Bill Self revealed reinforcements will be available starting Wednesday.

Freshman Ochai Agbaji will drop his redshirt and be available for his Jayhawk debut against TCU at Allen Fieldhouse.

"We're gonna play small a lot and we need depth. We need guys that can make some plays about the rim that you can't really reach," said Self. "As far as athletic ability, he's the best athlete we have on our team, so we're excited."

Agbaji is a 6'5'' guard from Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Mo.

The seventh-ranked Jayhawks (12-2, 1-1 in Big 12) take on the 25th-ranked TCU Horned Frogs (12-1, 1-0 in Big 12) Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. in Lawrence.
