KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Platte County High School senior quarterback Rocco Marriott took home the 2025 Simone Award Tuesday as the top high school football player in the Kansas City region.
Marriott was honored during a ceremony Tuesday morning at Platte County High School. You can watch the presentation in the video player below.
“It’s a lot to soak in,” Marriott told KSHB 41 Sports’ Mick Shaffer after hoisting the trophy.
Marriott was a finalist in the 2024 Simone Award as a junior.
Marriott is headed to the University of Central Florida to play college football.
