KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City isn’t the only place where a love of Patrick Mahomes is fueling an outpouring of Chiefs support this week ahead of Super Bowl LIV.
Students in Lubbock, Texas, where Mahomes starred for Texas Tech, shared a message of support Wednesday on Twitter with a cafeteria full of children shouting, “Good luck! Wreck ‘em, Chiefs!”

The Stewart Elementary School message also included a note thanking Mahomes “for being such a role model to them all!”
Mahomes was a first-round pick, No. 10 overall, in 2017 after playing three seasons for the Red Raiders. He ranks third in school history with 11,252 passing yards and 93 passing touchdowns.
