KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In a small, underground room at Kauffman Stadium a sewing machine is being pushed to its limits by a determined woman: Bev Vratny, the Royals' seamstress.

"It's a good thing I like sewing," Vratny said. "There are 5- or 600 people who work here, and they all need outfits."

Vratny is in charge of all the outfits, along with making sure all the players uniforms are ready to go.

"This year, there are a lot of new players. I guess I'm going to have to learn some new names," Vratny said.

Vratny said she is extremely proud of her job.

"I come in three hours before the game, I stay during the game and I stay after the game," Vratny said.

She takes immense pride in keeping her team looking "Royal."

"It's so much fun, getting to know the players," she said.
