KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- College football sees all three local teams on the road this week.

Although Missouri plays in Columbia ... just the "other" Columbia. As in Columbia, South Carolina. The Gamecocks have quickly become a rival for Mizzou in the SEC.

"I'd say it's top 1 or 2 places to play," said MU quarterback Drew Lock. "I have a blast going there."

The Kansas Jayhawks are off to West Virginia. The Mountaineers are undefeated and in the nation's Top 10. They have one of the highest scoring offenses in the country. But that's not what David Beaty is most impressed by.

"The thing that sticks out to me is they're leading they're leading the Big 12 in total defense right now," said Beaty.

Kansas State travels to Baylor. Just about any and all questions about the Wildcats are centered on the quarterback situation. And Bill Snyder seemed to have had enough of that Tuesday when he snapped back at a reporter.

"You write what the hell you want to write."
